It’s still one of the best pieces of Halo custom content to date, and still enjoying some level of active support, it’s a solid experience for any Halo fan, new or old alike. Many features from later Halo games like weaponry, enemies like the brute, and more help bring CE into closer parity with the rest of the series, and meanwhile, wholly original additions to the tools players utilise in the richer and more in-depth combat encounters give SPV3 its own spice of originality. SPV3 is one of the be-all end-all Halo mods, overhauling Combat Evolved’s entire campaign in ways untouched before.

I'm going all out on my Jackal mod to make up for weak areas in my Grunt mod, putting new things together that I learned while making and studying my Grunt mod. Every comment I get builds this mod stronger. Thank you to everyone who shown support for this mod, even when I was a noob. The Xbox will have it's own ui.map and everything.

#HALO HUNTER FULL#

Again, this is an ongoing project that will hopefully be a full map-pack release when it is done. Some firefights are just mirrors of Covenant Edition Firefights, others are brand new with new stories. A different take on the story I want to tell. I commissioned the models and did the rigging myself by hand. Feel free to check it out if you're interested in some new bipeds and enemies. Protogen RAM Wars is another side project of mine. Sometimes I borrow tags from or CE3, but credit can be found in the readme. The Jackal Player tags are entirely mine, and any equipment or texture tags of mine are free to rip and use in your mods. I'm doing textures and soon rigging myself. Development and testing is done entirely by myself. This is an ongoing project and may take years to officially complete. My maps feature my custom Warthogs now, custom skies and lightmaps for a new feel, and Easter egg guns are going to be hidden about the Jackal story. Hunters use their fuel rod gun by default only, but they can drive the Warthog now in Firefight maps. Jackal maps usually have a hidden area where you can recharge your health for free. Jackals use a hand-held shield, and take direct body damage, which changes the gameplay dynamic, hence in the Jackal mod enemies no longer respawn. Grunts are equipped with a regenerating overshield, your main health bar disregards body health because your shield covers it.

The game is available for both Xbox and PC. Eventually, this will become a complete map pack of its own.

These maps currently include play as Grunt, Jackal, and Hunter. The final few maps will have parallel story lines and multiple endings.Ĭovenant Edition: Firefight is a side project to fill space in-between releases, where multiplayer maps are converted to single player brawls with dropships and non-stop combat. This time around, the game will be much more complex, heavily based on story, objectives, vehicles, dropships, and cutscenes.

Each map will be released one by one as an update as they progress. The new Covenant Edition Jackal's Journey is currently under construction, so the Grunt mod is on hold while this takes priority. Covenant allies can now join you in the Warthog on Xbox. Your Covenant allies can now ride the Warthog with you.Ĭovenant Edition: Fully Loaded is the Xbox version, which also includes a full set of ~30 grunt multiplayer maps. For Halo: Custom Edition on PC or original Xbox, and now for MCC with online co-op functionality.Ĭovenant Edition: Prototype is the first version of the mod, playing as a grunt, with respawning enemies. Halo: Covenant Edition, includes play as Grunt, play as Jackal, and now play as Hunter.
